12 Feb APPROVED AN AGREEMENT TO START THE IMPROVEMENT WORKS IN THE ENTRANCE ROAD TO ES CASTELL
The planned actions under the executed agreement aim to improve the entry road to the village of Es Castell, building a pedestrian walkway, a lane for non-motorized vehicles and a parking areas.
This action will develop the urban planning of the municipality that foresees the transformation of the entry road into a boulevard, improving its accordance with the road regulations in force.
Based on this collaboration agreement, the Menorca Insular Council will finance the drafting of the project and 50% of the cost of the works, while the City Council of Es Castell will execute the works and finance the other 50%. The maximum total joint investment between the two administrations is 1,400,000 euros.
The agreement was reached last July after several meetings held between all the political forces represented in the City Council of Es Castell, driven by the mayor of Es Castell, Lluís Camps and the councilor of Mobility of the Menorca Insular Council, Miquel Preto.
Both the municipality of Es Castell and the Island Council are very satisfied with this unanimous agreement that has been possible with the participation of all municipal political forces and that will mean an unquestionable improvement for the town of Es Castell.
